Back Story

In May of 2014 I was fortunate enough to get to take out a Tesla Model S P85 (the extra high performance version) for a day so I could write a review about the car.  It was the best car I have ever driven and perhaps my best day of driving ever.  By far and away, the coolest part about it was seeing our kids have so much fun – even in Friday afternoon rush hour traffic.

That very day I decided I was going to get a Tesla and started to formulate a plan to make that happen.  I first pitched the people at Tesla Motor Company on letting us use a car for a Tesla Summer Tour 2014. That plan was to go on a cross country fundraising tour and raise enough money by the end of the summer to purchase our own Model S.   After a few days they turned me down – but of course I’m not going to let that stop me.

Since I am a very powerful manifestor and firmly believe in visualization, the power of intention and affirmation, I purchased this website domain ImGettingATesla.com.  Soon thereafter I decided that I still want to take a Tesla across the United States and visit each and every state, promoting Tesla and green vehicles the entire way – and sharing the Tesla experience however possible.  Then I decided that I would launch a crowd funding campaign at Patreon and offer some really cool rewards, while teaching people that anyone can manifest anything, no matter what their circumstances are.
The Tesla vision is now set:  once we raise enough money to buy our Tesla Model S, we are going to pull the kids out of school and begin homeschooling them during our tour across the United States.  We will visit as many of the great attractions, destinations, parks, monuments and sites of historical significance as possible while connecting with as many Tesla owners – and future Tesla owners as possible.  Not sure exactly how long this trip may take, but are willing to invest up to a year of our lives to provide this experience for our children (Makaya currently 13 and Jacqueline now 10 years of age) – and to share the journey with our supporters and readers through blog posts, photos and videos.  Be prepared to learn things about our great country that you probably never knew – we sure do.
